So does anyone know what Google's plans are and what their strategy is for allowing Google business or Google places to dominate the entire from page under some search results. It appears Google has rolled out a new product and that's pay for better local results in their map listings. You can setup and Google places account and if you are lucky you can ranking well for certain keywords. appears they are providing different results for different industries.Some industries such as the web design and internet marketing field will not show any map or local listings unless you specifically use the word "in" int he search such as "Website Designers in Dallas". Any other search like Dallas Web Designers" will only return organic listings and no local, or maps listings.

Google posses allot of power in the business world and I really do not think it will be long before big government get involved and regulates the crap our of them. There are business literally made or broke everyday and it all has to do with the way Google does business. We do not pretend to be masters of Google and search results and anyone that tells you they are is full of it. Google does not send out a monthly memo to everyone certified under their SEO certification letting them know that a big change is on the horizon and these are the things you need to do to make sure your sites stays or gets to the top.I wish it was that easy.
The fact of the matter is, for every category of industry whether its web design, insurance, construction, investments etc. there are generally only about 10 to 10 keywords that the masses use to find a business. There are thousands of companies in each industry and usually only a hand full that are big players in their market.. So you got thousands of business all wanting to be one of ten listings that show up under one of the most search keywords of their market. It will be impossible to be fair to all. This is what Google has ahead of them. They will have to deal with this one. The internet as of today account for probably 50 to 60% of businesses being found and 50 to 60% of a companies business may come from the web. Imagine if that was gone tomorrow for that business. The would probably end of going out of business. Big companies like overstock and JC Pennies will always be able to maintain and dominance on the web whether they cheat or not cause they have the money and the resources to do whatever is necessary to make it happen. What about the small mom and pop company? Well I can tell you from experience they are scared to death to spend any money online, and when and if they do they end up with company that charged them just a few hundred bucks per month for SEO services and they don't realize they are getting nothing in return until 6 months down the road. Will the company not only paid some company for 6 months and got nothing in return, but how much business did they miss over that period of time. Its hard to put a number on something like that because if they would have went with the right company from the beginning they would have gotten an immediate return on investment. Now 6 months has gone by with nothing to show but some charged to their credit card. At this point they have a bad taste in their month about we companies to begin with and if they did happen to pick up the phone and try to find someone that really knows that the are doing they are so skeptical that you can not even do anything for them. They become scared to make a decision. I hear to tell you that if you are an insurance company, lawyer, doctor, or any other profession or company that has just a small competitive market you are going to have to pay thousands of dollars for top seo placement.
